BURIAL of former Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) commissioner-general Chriticles Mwansa will take place on Sunday at Leopards Hill Memorial Park cemetery in Lusaka.
Mr Mwansa’s body is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow and will lie in state until Sunday when it will be interred.
Mr Mwansa died last week on Wednesday while playing golf in Sierra Leon where he was working as special advisor to that country’s revenue authority commissioner-general.
Family representative, Jonathan Bwalya, confirmed in an interview in Ndola yesterday.
Mr Bwalya said Mr Mwansa’s burial would be preceded by a church service at a congregation to be announced later.
He said the delay in the arrival of the body was because Sierra Leon laws did not allow the body to be flown out of that country before the lapse of nine days, after one’s demise.
The family has also thanked Senior Chief Mwata Kazembe XIX, Paul Kanyembo Mpemba VII for allowing burial to take place in Lusaka, where Mr Mwansa spent his past 20 years punctuated by his official stints abroad.
Mr Mwansa is survived by a wife and four children.
