LUSAKA Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) managing director George Ndongwe, has been fired from his position.
LWSC interim board chairperson Amos Malupenga who announced the development yesterday said Manuel Mutale, director general of Zambia Bureau of Standards has been appointed to manage the affairs of LWSC in the interim.
Minister of Local Government and Housing Stephen Kampyongo dissolved the board of directors for LWSC in February this year and appointed Mr Malupenga as interim board chairperson.
Mr Malupenga had since assured the cooperating partners and stakeholders that LWSC would continue to operate smoothly during the transition period.
