PRESIDENT-ELECT Edgar Lungu has fired State House Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama.
Mr Lungu yesterday terminated Mr Chilubanama’s contract with immediate effect.
“I am writing to inform you that l have terminated your services as permanent secretary with immediate effect. I wish you the best in your future endeavours,” President-elect Lungu said.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by Mr Lungu’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda.
The President-elect in his letter addressed to Mr Chilubanama dated August 29, 2016, informed the permanent secretary that his services had been terminated with immediate effect.
The letter was copied to Secretary to the Cabinet Roland Msiska, Secretary to the Treasury Fredson Yamba, and Auditor-General Likando Kalaluka.
Mr Chilubanama was appointed to his position by Mr Lungu in January 2015.
