By FELIX MALUNGA –
NCHANGA Rangers striker, Bornwell Mwape kicked off his trials at Swedish side, Malmo FC on high despite the freezing weather conditions in that part of Europe.
Mwape started the trials on Monday with a hope of winning the hearts of Malmo and secure a permanent move.
According to his agent Ryan Hartslief of Bigtime Sports, Mwape looked sharp despite the temperature sometimes dropping to as low as five degrees celsius.
Hartslief described Mwape as a star in the making, saying he was strong and had an eye for the goal.
He said Mwape could be a perfect replacement for South African, Tokelo Rantie, who moved to English Championship side, FC Bournemouth recently.
“This boy has all the makings of star! He is strong and has an eye for goal. He could be a perfect replacement for Tokelo Rantie who was sold to Bournemouth FC not long ago. We will see how he goes,” Hartslief said in a statement posted on fazfootball website.
Malmo will participate in the UEFA Champions League play-offs next season and a move for Mwape could be a great boost for the budding Zambian striker.
