By NDINAWE SIMPELWE –
A GRUDGE match between Power Dynamos against Lusaka Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe will highlight today’s MTN-FAZ Super Division fixtures which kick-off the second-half of the season.
A Lusaka derby grips Nkoloma Stadium where Red Arrows faces champions Zanaco as Nkana go to Mazabuka to face Nakambala Leopards in a tricky encounter.
Power vs Lusaka Dynamos
THIS will be the fixture of the weekend as it has more than just the threepoints to fight for.
The first meeting between the two ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw that saw the Patrick Phiri turored side Lusaka Dynamos first lead 2-0 at break with the Kitwe side fighting to score three times in the second half before an injury time goal by the home team split points.
But later, Power challenged the result allegingLusaka Dynamos used an ineligibleplayer in Tresor Kanyinda, a case they won at the FAZ Disciplinary Committee though Lusaka Dynamos contested that through the Appeals Committee. The FAZ is yet not disposed of the case.
As if that was not enough, a player transfer wrangle erupted between the two sides afterthe Lusaka side snatched Power’s leading goal scorer, Fwayo Tembo under their nosewith the midfielder expected to return to haunt his former employerstoday.
Power coach Dan Kabwe refused call the tie a grudge match saying thetarget is the same as in any other game, to collect three points.
“If  you want to win the league, you have to beat your competitors forthe title. The game is always tough before you play it. I cannot talkabout Fwayo, he has crossed over. I want to concentrate on myplayers,” Kabwe said.
Dynamos will be happy to unleash their new acquisitions in Tembo and Aubrey Funga as well as the return of once upon a time ‘golden boy’, Conlyde Luchanga who has been cleared to play.
On the other hand, Power are still waiting for clearance for defender Isaac Shamujompa who is at the center of a transfer dispute with Nchanga Rangers but they will happy Alex Ng’ónga is available as seems well fit in Tembo’s shoes.
The two teams switched places on the log after mid-week games which sawPower climb to second position while Dynamos dropped from second tofourth.
Arrows vs Zanaco
ZANACO finally won a league match since their ejection from the CAFChampions League, beating Forest Rangers 1-0 in Ndola and will aim tokeep the momentum going away to Arrows.
The win elated assistant coach Dabid Chilufya who is charge in theabsence head coach Mumamba Numba who is in Mauritius with the under-17national team at the Cosafa tournament.
The champions will be boosted with the return of Augustine Mulengafrom suspension and Arrows may be in more trouble if Chilufya decideto employ new signing Julius Situmbeko as well as fit again Charles Zulu.
Arrows coach Honour Janza said he had finally found a winning formulaafter demolishing struggling City of Lusaka on Wednesday and will hope Patrick Ngoma replicates his mod-week form.

Nakambala vs Nkana
NAKAMBALA put themselves in good position to stay away from relegationtroubles with a win against Nchanga on Wednesday and will hope to movefurther up the table with a win against Nkana today.
Nkana also returned to winning ways by beating Mufulira Wanderers onWednesday after that disappointing defeat against Green Eagles.
With Walter Bwalya still out of the picture, coach Beston Chambeshiwill keep his faith in Ronald Kampamba and Shadreck Musonda whileNakambala can rely on players raised in Kitwe in veteran Ignatius Lwipa and VenaciousMaphande tohaunt the Kitwe giant.
Nkwazi vs Warriors
KABWE Warriors woes look set to continue today when they visit ninthplaced Nkwazi who are wounded following their defeat away to Lumwana onWednesday and can look to Justin Shonga to get them back on track.
On the other hand, Elijah Chikwandaneeds to find inspiration fromsomewhere to convince his side that they can beat the drop but today face prospects of dropping to 18th shouldMufulira Wanderers win and they lose to Nkwazi.
Wanderers vs Buffaloes
Bilton Musonda returns to his dear Shinde Stadium leading an army that could make matters worse for a ‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers who look headed for a relegation scrap-fightespecially that he is carrying with him a battalion led by a rampaging Brian Mwila.
Buffaloes are enjoying good form and their third position on the tableis testimony of how far they want to go this season.
Buildcon vs Nakonde
BUILDCON’S season can be summarised in one word, inconsistent.
The team despite showing so much promise and playing attractivefootball has failed to stamp their authority on the league and as thesecond round of the season begins, their only target will be to stayin the top flight league and return to improve next year.
Real Nakonde who also won promotion this season have nothing to showas they are slowly making the season a learning experience hoping tocome back stronger next time.
Forest vs Lumwana
LUMWANA have continued to surprise everyone with their positiveresults and coach Zeddy Saileti looks to have settled at the club.
Their 2-0 win against Buildcon on Wednesday was a serious indicationthat the team will soon be a force to reckon with while their hoststoday have shown inconsistency despite recording some impressiveresults.
Eagles vs City
This game will be significant for one reason as it will provide achance for City of Lusaka coach Hector Chilombo chance to redeem himself after he wasgiven orders to start winning games.
The big question still remains if he has the team to get the wins thatthe executive is demanding and knowing that Independence Stadium in Choma isnot a good hunting ground for any team.
