By JAMES KUNDA –
SENIOR Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo II of the Soli people in Chongwe has encouraged President Edgar Lungu to ignore political detractors frustrating the efforts of the Government in developing the country.
Chieftainess Nkomeshya told Mr Lungu that as a Christian, he should maintain his magnanimity and focus on working hard to improve the livelihood of the people.
She said even Jesus Christ was not 100 per cent appreciated during his time on earth and the mortal President Lungu could not expect praises from all corners of society.
Chieftainess Nkomeshya said this in a vote of thanks shortly after the Head of State ‘broke the ground’ to signal the start of the construction of the Lusaka Specialised Hospital on Kenneth Kaunda International Airport Road.
“Your Excellency, I am here to support this project which will benefit all Zambians and I want to advise you to ignore those people who do not appreciate what you are doing for this country. Forget about them and concentrate on working,” Chieftainess Nkomeshya said.
She said the health facility was very important in saving public and private expenditure as the number of referral health cases abroad would reduce.
