Soccer fan Willie Malasha dies

CHIPOLOPOLO Soccer Fans Association (CSFA) general secretary Willie Malasha has died.
Confirming the death, the late Malasha’s son Robert, said the veteran soccer fan passed away around 20:30hours on Tuesday night at Lusaka’s University Teaching Hospital (UTH) after an illness.
Malasha, 52, is survived by a wife and three children. Funeral is in Emmasdale at the ZIMCO Flats near the ZIMCO Institute of Management Campus. Burial arrangements will be announced later.
And Mercy Banda writes from Kabwe that one of Zambia’s football legends, Laskey Kunda Mwandu is dead.
Mwandu 67, died on Monday at Kabwe General Hospital after bravely struggling with prostate cancer.
He is survived by a wife and five children and number of grandchildren. Funeral is at 1120 Dallas residential area, off Great North road. Burial will take place today at Old St Mary’s cemetery in Kabwe.
