ZMSA thanks sponsors

ZAMBIA Motor Sport Association (ZMSA) 4x4 commissioner Fred Anderson has thanked companies and individuals who helped during last weekend’s Action Auto Siavonga Challenge which was scooped by Joseph Felemenga.
Anderson said the two-day event which was flagged off from the Lusaka Motor Club (LMC) in the Showgrounds on Saturday morning, went on as planned, especially the Sunday stages at Siavonga’s Sandy Beach.
He thanked Autoworld and various individuals who donated materially towards the successful staging of the ‘Safari-Type’ event which had Action Auto as a main sponsor.
“Without the support we receive from such people, these events would be difficult to manage,” Anderson said.
The Group 3 Security (G3) chief executive officer said the fifth and final 2005 ZMSA 4x4 event would be the Fringilla Challenge billed for October 29-30.
“The next 4x4 out-of-town Safari will be in the Chisamba area, this event will be sponsored by Tren Tyre and all participants will be put to test on the Fringilla Farm,” he said.
Action Auto’s Felemenga in a Isuzu twin-cab van emerged first ahead of G3 Security’s Omega ‘Tonga Bull’ Simatanga (Mitsubishi Pajero) while Andy Legg (Suzuki) was third ahead of Simatanga’s workmate Jimmy ‘White’ Crause (Mahindra Jeep).
Anderson said the top three finishers, Felemanga, Simatanga and Legg each received a trophy, certificate and vehicle accessories courtesy of Autoworld.
