Letters to the Editor: Sata, HH insincere

THE fact that Patriotic Front president Michael Sata and his United Party for National Development counterpart Hakainde Hichilema command the political force and sphere of our country does not mean they should do things with impunity hoping they will succeed.

Neither leader is prepared to bow down and give in for the sake of mother Zambia.
The two leaders must be real and sincere with each other.

Instead of them coming out in the open to tell the people the truth, everyday they are making accusations and counter accusations.
Today we are told it is Sata and the other it is HH.

Later we are told it is the media and the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) that are causing the problem.

Each one putting up a front as if they are innocent but the two leaders seem not to care for our country.

It does not matter what they think, the Movement for Multiparty Democracy will win next year’s elections and that will be the end of Sata and HH politically.

Stop campaigns in Ndola town centre

I AM unhappy with the way the Patriotic Front is conducting election campaigns in Chifubu Constituency.

The election is supposed to be taking place in Chifubu and yet we continue to be disturbed by loud campaign music coming from vehicles with PF campaign posters in town.

Can the authorities please restrict the campaigns to Chifubu only, after all that’s where the voters live!

It does not make sense to inconvenience people that do not live in the constituency.

Manda Hill foot bridge needs care

CAN some one at Lusaka City Council do something about the Manda Hill foot bridge as it is a monumental eyesore in the middle of our city! The Manchinchi Road side was damaged by a vehicle some years back and nothing has been done about it. The first and last coat of paint on the bridge was applied at commissioning years ago!

There are a number of new developments coming up around Manda Hill, Show Grounds and generally along Great East Road. And the bridge is in the most prime area of Lusaka and yet the Patriotic Front-run council does not maintain it.
