TO take advantage of the higher rainfall in the northern part of Zambia, a company proposes to establish a hydropower scheme at Kundabwika Water Falls at the boundary of Mporokoso and Nchelenge Districts.
Luapula Hydropower Corporation proposes to establish a hydropower scheme about 150 metres upstream of the Kundabwika Water Falls.
According to the Environmental Impact Assessment Report submitted to the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), the hydropower project will generate an average of 101 Megawatts of power.
