China plans big for Africa!

Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, China, yesterday.

CHINESE President XI Jinping has announced a 10-point modernisation approach to various challenges affecting African countries.
And President Hakainde Hichilema has described the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China- Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) as a platform to exchange ideas on how to unlock potential in the two regions.
Speaking when he opened the summit yesterday, President Xi said under the plan, China would provide a package of funds to the tune of 0ne Billion Yuans (US$140 million) for African countries facing agriculture challenges.
While in the continued modernisation approach, China would provide local and international military trainings with the view to strengthening security capacity among member states and the region, adding that there could not be meaningful development where instability threatened economic activities.
