MANAGEMENT at the Zambia-China Mulungushi Textiles Joint Venture (ZCMT-JV) has started uprooting obsolete machinery plant to create room for new ones in readiness for resuming operations since its closure in January 2007.
The plan is to bring in new machinery with the first shipment of the 400 containers having arrived at the plant and received by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Chipoka Mulenga recently.
ZCMT-JV general manager Brigadier General Emmanuel Simenti said that the new equipment would promote the use of technology.
