Leopards 13-20 Arrows
RED Arrows coach Mwamba Chishimba described the victory against title rivals Mufulira Leopards as sweet after the ‘Air Wolves” inched closer towards retaining the National Rugby League (NRL) for a record 11th straight time.
Arrows triumph in this fiercely but exciting Week-12 fixture played at the Cage in Mufulira saw them open a six-point advantage at the summit of the table as they moved to 52 points, six better than second placed Leopards.
In an interview after the game, Chishimba admitted that it was not an easy encounter to handle.
“It was a very sweet victory. We played with passion and strength throughout the entire game. It was not easy but we know how to handle such big games like the one we played against Mufulira, credit to my players for the wonderful performance,” he said.
