‘Budget sets basis for economic recovery’

THE Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR) has said that the 2025 National Budget sets a basis on which the country can achieve economic recovery, resilience and improved livelihood.
ZIPAR acting Executive Director Zali Chikuba said in an interview that the pronouncements in the proposed national budget were mostly on the recovery of the agriculture sector which had been severely affected by the drought.
Mr Chikuba observed that a lot of resources had been allocated to the Farmer Support Input Programme (FSIP) and the Sustainable Agricultural Financing Facility (SAFF) to help farmers recover.
