PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has said that the late President Michael Sata united Zambia through various policy pronouncements such as the declaration of new districts and the enhancement of the decentralisation policy which the New Dawn Government has adopted with ease..
The President said that Mr Sata understood the functions of local authorities and its importance for national development and hence his creation of 29 districts in a short period.
Mr Hichilema who spoke at the celebration of the 10th memorial anniversary at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka yesterday also reaffirmed his commitment to build on the good policies created by past leaders, and that of taking development to all parts of the country.
