PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has called on the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) member states to discard the notion that Foreign Direct investment (FDI) can only come from outside Africa.
He encouraged investment from within the region.
Mr Hichilema said COMESA should set up instruments that would deepen investment and trade among member countries.
“Why are we not investing in and with each other more? What is the issue? Whenever we think of Foreign Direct Investment, we don’t consider our neighbours. We think its Europe, its Asia, its America.
