One dies as Kapalala market goes up in flames

ONE person has died and goods worth millions of Kwacha have gone up in flames in an inferno at Kapalala Market in Ndola’s Main Masala area.
Copperbelt Police Chief Pathias Siandenge however could not confirm the sex of the person who died in the blaze.
The fire was suspected to have started in one of the makeshift wooden stalls that dot the area around the market on Saturday night.
Shell-shocked traders who lost their goods in the fire wept uncontrollably, while others collapsed when they discovered that their wares had been destroyed in the flames.
