ZAMBIA’s annual inflation rate has consistently continued to ease for the sixth month running, from the 16.5 per cent recorded in April, 2025 to 12.3 per cent registered for September, this year.
This represents a 4.2 per cent reduction in the inflation rate within the period under review and a significant step towards achieving the central bank’s six to eight per cent target band.
According to the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZAMSTAT) the annual inflation rate slowed down to 12.3 per cent in September, 2025 from the previously recorded 12.6 per cent in August this year.
