FOUR people in Ndola including a Chinese national have been fined about K600,000 by the Ndola Magistrates’ Court for being in possession of wildlife animals.
The court has ordered each one to pay K160,000 before October 10, 2025 in default to be sentenced to two years imprisonment with hard labour each.
Gen Tin, 40, of Lusaka, Gilbert Samutonda, 40, of Kaloko Township, Gift Munjunga, 31, of Makeni Township and Roman Siamundo, 24, also of Ng’ombe Township, Lusaka were convicted and fined for one count of unlawful possession or dealing in wild animals contrary to the laws of Zambia.
