PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema is reviewing a letter delivered to State House in Lusaka on Tuesday by a group of opposition political leaders, Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka has said.
Mr Hamasaka observed that if prior communication had been established, State House would have facilitated a direct discussion between President Hichilema and the opposition leaders.
He said that such engagement would have been more effective than depositing a document at the State House gate and hoping it conveyed the intended message.
In a statement yesterday, Mr Hamasaka said the decision to leave an important document at the State House gate, despite President Hichilema’s well-known openness to engagement, remained a curious choice.
