GOVERNMENT has revealed that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) submitted a budget of over K40 million for the upcoming Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament that kicks off on December 21.
And the Chipolopolo are tomorrow expected to leave for Spain for a training camp in readiness for the AFCON with coach Moses Sichone set to name his final squad. Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Mali and Comoros.
Speaking during an interview on the side-lines at the ongoing Zambia Coaching Symposium at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka yesterday, Ministry of Sports Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe said the government was still finalising the budget submitted by FAZ.
