COPPERBELT-based comedians over the festive period brought smiles on the faces of wit lovers who trekked to Ndola’s Lowenthal Theatre to sample some light hearted jokes.
The place which is situated right in the heart of the ‘friendly city’ was the place to be for comedy lovers who were hungry for laughter and wanted to digest some comedy from the likes of Ba Shike, Kasaka , Mwine Mushi and others such as MK who were lined up for the event.
The funnymen unleashed rib aching jokes which left the sizeable number of patrons in stitches.

Comedian Ba Shike who knows how to crack jokes in all the seven major local languages, that is was the darling of the attendees who kept laughing their lungs out as the lanky funnyman offloaded what he knows best.
In fact, Ba Shike was just continuing from where he left off when he was contracted by auditing firm KPMG to double as the master of ceremonies and the main entertainer of the night during a post budget analysis and dinner in Kitwe late last year.
At least some of the comedians managed to fuse in some new material to entertain the audience that made its way to Lowenthal Theatre Hall, a venue which received a major face-lift over a decade ago.
However, there is still room for improvement by the local comedians as the tendency of recycling the same ‘dry’ jokes is like taking for granted the fact that audiences pay to see comedy and hence they fill up theatre halls to get value for their money.
