MINISTER of Works and Supply Felix Mutati has expressed happiness at the drastic drop in the abuse of government motor vehicles during weekends and outside working hours.
Mr Mutati said compared to a few weeks ago, there was a huge increase in compliancy levels from less than 20 percent to 80 percent now.
Yesterday’s exercise saw all four major road entries into Lusaka sealed by 07:00 hours.
“What has also helped with the significant drop of abuse is the revised penalties because now with the upwards adjustment of penalties, people who abrogate the law will feel the pinch,” Mr Mutati said. Read more
