Rise in medical insurance leaves ZSIC half-year premiums in rude health

ZSIC Life has recorded a 62 per cent rise in gross premiums income at K103.2 million in the half year ended June 30, 2021. The gross premiums have grown from 67.5 million in the half year 2020 to K103.2 million this year.
The growth in gross premiums had been attributed to the growth in the medical insurance unit.
During the same period, the company recorded K45.3 million Profit After Tax driven by revenue growth and reduced costs.
