ELECTRICITY consumers in Lusaka have rejected Zesco’s application to increase electricity connection by an estimated 213 per cent.
However, the power utility company has defended the proposed hike, saying if the connection fees remain unchanged, the resulting effect on the economy would be loss of business opportunities and income for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) due to delayed
electricity connections.
