AS Idols SA climax looms, a new interesting twist in the competition has unfolded which basically can be attributed to sheer luck! Top 11 instead of Top 10 would be for this year’s edition!
Last Sunday, the charismatic Idols SA presenter Pro Verb announced that Vincent V and Ivan had a huge resemblance which ended up into confusing voters.
According to Pro Verb, most votes meant for Ivan went to Vincent V and vice versa resulting into the puzzle that needed fair consideration for both hopefuls who were apparently separated by a single vote.
“It has been decided here and then that both of you Ivan and Vincent V proceed not to the top 10 but top 11 because in all faireness, we cannot do away with any one of you as we are not sure whose votes where more than the other,” announced Pro Verb.
Now coming to the competition itself, this week’s contenders who formulate group two of the top 16 were not as pleasant as the first group.
Group two comprised 16-year-old Olivia who is the youngest in the competition, Kyle, Demi Lee, Rowan, Tumi, Lize, and Musa.
To be sincere, group two was on a rather flat side of things excerpt for a few who managed to impress the likes of Randall and sending Unati to cloud nine.
If it was up to the judges, Musa, Tumi and Demi Lee would have surely gotten an obvious ticket to the top 11.
Talking of Tumi’s outstanding performance that sent the audience and some judges like Unati into a frenzy, it is more likely that this young girl will find her name among the top 11.
“After banging the table with joy, Unati just had few words for Tumi as she said: “It is very good you have reminded everyone that after all this is a competition.”
Musa was another contender who sent the crowd into chanting his name after doing his bit of the “I am The Man” track.
Randall said the judges could not continue wasting their breath on a person who is always doing it right and so much loved by the fans.
What does that mean to the dreadlocked Musa?
Contestant number 2, Kyle is one who would have wished never to stand before judges like Randall. After his performance and fair comments from Gareth and Unati, Randall just came out candid and clear: “Kyle, this has been the worst performance ever since you auditioned.”
Sunday, after tomorrow is a big day in the history of Idols SA season 10 as it will for the first time unveil the chosen top 11 contenders.
