INFORMATION and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo has expressed concern at the manner the Zambia National Broadcasting Cooperation (ZNBC) board handled the issue where some Government officials allegedly harassed ZNBC newsroom staff.
He said the grievances that were raised had been noted but challenged the ZNBC board to file in complaints to the ministry so that it could be addressed.
Speaking during a Press briefing in Lusaka, Mr Kasolo pointed out that it was not right to go public with matters that could be sorted out
internally.
On Monday, ZNBC board chairperson John Mulwila condemned some senior Government and Patriotic Front (PF) officials who allegedly harrassed newsroom staff.
Mr Kasolo also refuted reports that he had directed ZNBC and other public media houses not to cover certain political parties.-ZANIS
