Govt to build four clinics in Mandevu

MANDEVU Member of Parliament (MP) Jean Kapata has said Government will soon embark on the construction of four health posts in the constituency.
Ms Kapata who is also tourism Minister said out of the 650 health post that Government is currently constructing countrywide, four would be constructed in Mandevu Constituency.
Ms Kapata said this yesterday when she lead hundreds of Chazanga residents in a drainage cleaning exercise.

Ms Kapata said the four health post will be built in Chaisa, Kabanana, Ngo’mbe Kasisi and Kabanana cite and service.
She said the building of the four health post in the area was aimed at decongesting other already exiting health post.
“We will soon start building four health posts in the area to ease the challenges that people face in accessing health care services in this constituency,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ms Kapata has called on the residents in Mandevu constituency to keep the drainage’s unblocked by frequently cleaning them.
She said Government spends a lot of money in constructing drainage’s stating that was therefore unfair to keep the drainage’s blocked.
Ms Kapata said because of the drainage system constructed in the area, no diarrheal diseases, have been recorded in the past three years.
“I have secured a truck from Lusaka City Council that will be collecting the garbage every Saturday to prevent the garbage from going back in the drainage’s,” she said.
