Kashimoto retains Mufulira rugby post

 WEBSTER Kashimoto was at the weekend re-elected Mufulira Rugby Club chairperson defeating Tom Ngulube during the elective annual general meeting.

 Kashimoto was re-elected during the club’s AGM held at Mufulira Rugby club house after defeating Ngulube, who was his sole opponent for the post.

 In a statement released yesterday, club vice chairperson Paul Ntali went through unopposed along with secretary Mpundu Chaonza, treasurer James Mwanza and club captain Richard Kanyinka while Regina Kabembe was also bounced back as committee member.

 Bill Mwanza, Joseph Chileshe and Moses Mulenga are the three newly elected committee members.

 Meanwhile, Mufulira Rugby club also recognised it’s most outstanding players for the 2013 season.

 Dean Zulu won the player of the year award, Wazi Phiri was the most disciplined player while Dan Kunda won the most promising player award.

 David Chola took home the most improved player award and Vernon Bwalya won the club’s top scorer award while Miselo Bwalya and Kalasa Muleya were also handed special awards for their notable contribution to the club in the 2013 season.
