STANDARD Chartered Bank Zambia has launched a K1 million promotional campaign dubbed ‘The Vault’ which will see clients win different prizes.
The campaign is a local currency deposit based promotion, which would run from March 1 to May 31, 2016 and it is open to both existing and potential clients of the bank.
Speaking during the launch at Kitwe’s Mukuba Mall on Saturday,  Standard Chartered Bank chief executive director Andrew Okai said the bank would this year be celebrating 110 years of operating in the country.
“This year Standard Chartered Bank celebrates 110 years of operating in the country. We remain firmly committed to our clients and to Zambia’s economic and social development,” Mr Okai said.
Whilst 2015 was a challenging year for the global and local economy, he said the bank was still positive about long-term economic opportunities.
“This is the reason we are taking measures to deepen our client relationships to ensure that together, we are well positioned to capitalise on the new economic opportunities,” Mr Okai said.
He said Zambia was one of Stanchart’s  top five African markets as such the bank was investing in the retail and digital capabilities to ensure faster and more efficient services for clients.
“More recently we replaced all our Automated Teller machines (ATMs) across the country in a drive to achieve modern and smart banking for our clients to remain at the forefront of banking innovation in the country,” he said.
Head of retail banking Sonny Zulu explained that the new promotional campaign would see clients enter for the draw upon increasing their balance of K5, 000 and higher  or opening a new account with a minimum balance of K5, 000.
The bank will have a monthly draw at which winners will have an opportunity to enter the grand draw and get as much cash as they can in a vault loaded with K200, 000, K300, 000 and K500, 000 over a period of three months.
“Standard Chartered remains the leading bank in key sectors of the economy,” Mr Zulu said.
