POLICE are on high alert for fugitive former Western Province police commissioner, Fanwell Siandenge, over charges of aggravated robbery.
Police are looking for Mr Siandenge for allegedly staging a robbery of ballot boxes along with former Lusaka Province minister Obvious Mwaliteta and some members of the United Party for National Development (UPND).

The former police chief, during the August 11 general elections, in the company of Mr Mwaliteta and other UPND members, allegedly intercepted a motor vehicle carrying Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) officials with G12 forms along Haille Selaise Road near City Airport in Lusaka.
Mr Mwaliteta, the former Kafue member of Parliament was, however, arrested by police together with other UPND members, charged with aggravated robbery, and is currently appearing in court.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said in an interview yesterday that Mr Siandenge was still at large, but police had intensified the search for him.
“He (Mr Siandenge) is still on the run and we are looking for him,” Ms Katongo said.
Ms Katongo appealed to members of the public with information leading to the whereabouts of Mr Siandenge to help the police.
