Napsa 1-1 Dynamos
LUSAKA Dynamos yesterday left it late to deny title chasing Napsa from opening an eight point lead at the summit of the MTN-FAZ Super League week 19 fixture played at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Napsa still top the log with 36 points, four ahead of second placed Power Dynamos on 32 along with Green Buffaloes on third. Dynamos slide down to fourth with 31points.
Napsa took lead in the 27 minute through a spectacular Youremember Banda header from a Collins Sikombe set piece.
But Napsa’s lead was cancelled in the 79 minute through a shot from league top scorer Chris Mugalu inside the box from an Erick Kabulo cross.Lusaka-Dynamos-football-club
Napsa coach Tenant Chilumba was left unsatisfied with the draw stating that it was a disappointing result for his team.
“It is a fair result but we are disappointed because we have gone two games without recording a win,” Chilumba said.
Chilumba said the boys lacked concentration but he will continue pushing them to get positive results.
Dynamos coach Patrick Phiri was happy that they salvaged a point away from home.
“Napsa is a strong team, we are happy we scored from nowhere. A point away is okay we would have been disappointed if we were home,” Phiri said.
Nkwazi 3- 0 Nakonde
At the same venue, ninth placed Nkwazi humiliated visitors Real Nakonde 3-0 leaving them deep into relegation waters and sweep the bottom of the log.
Steward Chikandiwa opened the scores as early as the 3rd minute with a shot inside the box and Mwila Kabwe doubled their advantage with a thunderbolt shot in the 40th, then Erick Chomba added his named to the score sheet in the 86 to put the game to bed.
Nakonde coach Matthews Njobuv was left worried that his team will be relegated if they continue losing at this pace.
“ It’s a sign that we are going to be relegated but we shall try to work hard and utilise scoring opportunities,” Njobuv who was demoted with Blackpool last season said.
Meanwhile Nkwazi coach Albert Mpasnde said that wining with a big margin was a motivation factor for his team.
“Coming from two losses, we are happy that we have won by 3-0 though we never expected such a big margin,” Mpande said.
Power 2-1 Warriors
POWER  Dynamos  sneaked into second place after showing character by coming from one-down to beat troubled Kabwe Warriors reports KALUMIANA KALUMIANA at Arthur Davis Stadium.
The day also saw Power unveil  Chipolopolo  defender Isaac  Shamujompa prior to kickoff at Arthur Davies  Stadium in Kitwe following his move  from Nchanga Rangers on permanent move.
However, he watched the game from the stands and is expected to make his debut in  Saturday’s home game against Lusaka Dynamos.
Meanwhile, Warriors took the lead  in the 1st minute through Parfait Mwizero  who was put through by Paul Simpemba after the striker eluded Billy Mutale and White Mwanambaba.
But Power, who were clearly still fatigued from  their road trip to and from Nakonde, refused to give up en route to winning the game for coach Danny Kabwe who missed  the match due to illness. They were reward for their resilience in the 23rd minute when Luka Lungu headed in Larry Bwalya’s cross.
Power completed their comeback in the 83nd minute when Mutale thumped in the ball from close-range pouncing on an Alex Ngonga rebound after Warriors goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga parried the ball into his path.
Eagles 0-2 Buffaloes
GREEN Buffaloes climbed up to third on the log with a clinical display against  fellow uniform side Green Eagles away to Choma at par in points with second placed Power at 32 only behind on goal difference reports MUNAMNEZA MWANEI at Independence Stadium.
Mike Katiba pushed Buffaloes ahead through a header in the 13th minute and Diamond Chikwekwe added the second through a counter attack in the 81st minute.
Despite creating more chances Eagles could not find the net which Eagles new coach Aggrey Chiyangi said was due to inexperience.
But Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda said his side was organised and determined to collect the maximum point that was why the capitalised on the counter attack. Eagles remain with 21 points at position 13.
Wanderers 1-2 Zesco
JESSE Were scored the winner with 12 minutes remaining on the clock as Zesco United finally got the better of Wanderers at Shinde Stadium.
After suffering a 1-0 defeat at the same venue last season, a result that saved Wanderers’ from relegation, Zesco was determined not to allow history repeat itself.
Dave Daka gave the visitors the lead two minutes from half time before Mathews Macha levelled the scores midway the second half.
But just as the match was heading for a draw, Were beat a number of defenders before slotting in the ball to seal the victory and send the Ndola outfit seventh with 29 point while Wanderers are third from bottom with14.
Forest 0-1 Zanaco
ZANACO goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata lost a tooth while another remained shaking in a hard fought win against Forest Rangers reports NDINAWE SIMPELWE at Trade Fair Grounds .
In a brave attempt to save the ball in a goal mouth melee, Nsabata received a boot to the face from Laurent Muma in the dying minutes of the first half.
Despite receiving medical attention and finishing the half, the goalkeeper was replaced at halftime by Racha Kola and assistant coach Dabid Chilufya confirmed Nsabata’s injury was serious and he is a doubt for the Red Arrows game on Saturday.
But it was Ernest Mbewe who ensured the champions returned to winning ways when he turned in a Richard Kasonde cross in the 52nd minute to punish the hosts who were guilty of missing clear chances in the first half to lift the champions to eighth position.
Arrows 3-0 City
RED Arrows coach Honor Janza says they have found the winning formula after 3-0 bashing of City of Lusaka with a big performance from Patrick Ngoma reports GODFREY DUBE at Nkoloma Stadium.
“We played well today and we hope the boys continue with the same spirit, I think Patrick Ngoma has now realised he has talent, he can still do better and I believe he can go far,” Janza said.
And City of Lusaka coach Hector Chilombo described a 3-0 loss as a disaster for his team stating he was disappointed with the team performance.
“We did not play the game as planned, we gave our opponents enough space to make the runs and they utilised the chances they had, we could have scored a number of goals but the strikers failed us today,” Chilombo said.
Bruce Musankya put Arrows in a lead in the 32 minute after he tapped in a Patrick Ngoma rebound with Mulume Kameya failing to  equalise for City of Lusaka in the 35th.
Patrick Ngoma had his goal ruled out for an offside in the 49th minute but his effort paid off two minutes later when he tapped in a Stanley Nshimbi through ball on the 51 minute. Ngoma completed his brace in the 58th minute when he connected a Lubinda Mundia pass who dribbled passed three defenders before releasing the ball.
Buildcon 0-2 Lumwana
Goals in each half from Obed Masumbuko and Chanda  Mushili helped Lumwana Radiants to sink ‘Team Kopala’, Buildcon at home reports RONALD CHAWE at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Masumbuko put the Zeddy Saileti tutored side in the lead when he converted from a spot kick in 21st minute sending Scott Ngokene in the wrong direction, after Isaac Isinde had brought down Hillary Bwalya in the box for them to gain an advantage at the interval.
After the break, the home side upped the tempo of the game but was punished further for playing disjointed football when Josphat Kasusu and Hosea Silwimba interchanged passes before the later put Mushili through to beat advancing Ngokene to double the advantage and remained stuck 12th with 23 points while Lumwana climbed to sixth place with 30 points.
Blades 0-1 Nkana
In Chililabombwe, it was business as usual for Nkana who silenced Konkola Blades in their backyard with a 60th minute goal by Shadreck Musonda.
The Beston Chambeshi coached side maintained their fifth position with 31points at par with big spenders Lusaka Dynamos, who forced a 1-all draw in an early kick-off against league leaders Napsa Stars.
Nakambala 1-0 Nchanga
A lone goal from Lameck Silwaba in the 13th minute was all Nakambala Leopards needed to beat draw specialist Nchanga Rangers at home in Mazbuka and move to 14 place with 20 points.
Rangers who have drawn the previous five on the trot succumbed and have 17 points just one place above relegation on 16th.
