Govt told to start consultations on local content law

THE Zambia Association of Manufactures (ZAM) has advised the Government to commence consultations on the development of the Local Content Law to ensure stakeholder views are considered.
ZAM has said the process would ensure that the law serves to foster and not hinder progress of the local industry.
In its March 2021 newsletter, ZAM indicated that promoting local content utilisation was one of the ways of ensuring that economic growth translated into industrialisation and poverty reduction.
