TWELVE political parties have pledged to uphold peace before, during and after next month’s general election, but the ‘New Hope’ MMD and Third Liberation Movement (3rd-LM) chose not to commit themselves by not appending their signatures despite attending the Peace Conference in Lusaka yesterday.
The 12 political parties which signed the Peace and Non-Violence Pledge are part of the 16 that are participating in next month’s general elections and they included Patriotic Front (PF), United Party for National Development (UPND), UNIP, Socialist Party (SP) and Democratic Party (DP).
