THE United Party for National Development (UPND) has applied for leave to commence judicial review to challenge the decision of the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to suspend the party’s campaigns in three constituencies.
The three affected constituencies are Kanyama in Lusaka, Ikeleng’i in North-Western and Sioma in Western provinces.
UPND Secretary General, Batuke Imenda, Kanyama constituency candidate, Monty Chinkuli and Ikeleng’i candidate, Elijah Muchima yesterday sued on behalf of the presidential , parliamentary and local government candidates in three constituencies.
