ON his first trip to the Copperbelt as president of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema has paid glowing tribute to residents for the overwhelming vote that helped to deliver victory for the United Party for National Development (UPND).
Mr Hichilema said it was a breath of fresh air to be able to get around the province and meet with various groups of people without the drama of police harassing him by tear-gassing him or detaining him, as had been the pattern while he was in the opposition.
