ZCCZ investments hit $2.4bn

THE Zambia-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (ZCCZ) has attracted more than US$ 2.4 billion worth of investments since inception in 2005.
Currently, there are more than 70 companies in the zone, focusing on the Chambishi Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) and the Lusaka East MFEZ.
ZCCZ chairman Oscar Liao said at the on-going Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2021 in Durban that there were currently more than 50 enterprises in the Chambishi MFEZ, with further room for development.
