10 cops to appear before PCC ‘court’

TEN police officers around the Copperbelt are today expected to appear before the Police Public Complaints Commission (PPCC) to answer to allegations of professional misconduct. The PPCC will hear the cases in Ndola.
The accused officers are from Ndola, Kalulushi, Kitwe, Mufulira and Chingola. They are being accused of involvement in illegal detentions, corrupt practices, and assaulting suspects. PPCC chairperson Patrick Mutale said this when he led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on Copperbelt acting Permanent Secretary Robert Zulu in Ndola on Wednesday.
