THERE was shocking irregularities in COVID-19 fund use, with the Ministry of Health being allegedly culpable of product substitution resulting in supply of three million Chinese face masks instead of the paid-for American brand.
Auditor General Dick Sichembe said the Ministry of Health awarded 36 contracts for the supply and delivery of 2, 990, 000 N95 face masks at K214, 339, 700 but the supplier, instead, delivered KN95.
