THE issue of an open-pit copper mine planned for the Lower Zambezi National Park has triggered an uproar with a consortium of civil society organisations, traditional leaders, safari operators and other stakeholders are up in arms.
The coalition has said allowing the Kangaluwi mine to be set up in the Lower Zambezi National Park could have a potentially-devastating impact on people, water, the land and the environment in the southern African region.
