Copper price breaks new record

METALS are said to be breaking new records with copper spiking to an all-time high and nickel surging more than 16 per cent. Soaring energy prices and fears of supply shocks are also said to be upsetting commodities markets amid war in Ukraine. According to Bloomberg ,Copper, used in power cables and wiring, rallied as much as 1.5 per cent to $10,835 a tonne, on the London Metal Exchange(LME) beat the previous record high from May last year.
