Govt warns school heads over drowning of four pupils

THE Ministry of Education has warned that appropriate action will be taken against head teachers and management in public schools while private schools will be deregistered once investigations into the recent deaths of learners reveal that they were negligent.
Acting Education Minister Elijah Muchima said he deeply regretted the recent drowning of four boys in a pit while allegedly undergoing cadet drills and the death of two Early Childhood Education learners after encountering hazardous objects as well as the defilement of four school girls.
