PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has called for serious police reforms and collaboration among law enforcement agencies to ensure people’s rights are protected.
Mr Hichilema said yesterday that there are issues in the Police Service which have raised public concerns on how it operates.
He said this after he swore-in Police Public Complaints Commission chairperson Zunga Siakalima, a former Inspector General of Police, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director general Gilbert Phiri and chairperson Musa Mwenye, commissioners for the Judicial Complaints Commission (JCC) and Human Rights Commission (HRC).
