ALERT members of the public yesterday rescued a grade 11 pupil who jumped into a 12 metre well from imminent death.
Copperbelt police chief Sharon Zulu who confirmed the incident to the Sunday Times said the pupil from Roan Secondary School in Luanshya jumped into the well opposite Nathan Chanda Police Post around midday.
The matter was reported by the victim’s mother Everlyn Kalimba, 49.
Ms Zulu said the victim was discovered by Alexander Mutale, 28, of Roan Township who was constructing a car wash around the area.
