SPORTS permanent secretary Kangwa Chileshe says the new dawn government is working at improving certain aspects that will enable sportsmen and women to deliver desired results at the global stage.
Speaking in an interview after watching boxer Stephen Zimba progress to the finals at the on-going Commonwealth Games, Chileshe said the government wants to invest in planning better for international engagements.
“The performance was amazing and as the President (Hakainde Hichilema) has always put it in his remarks, we are back in the Champions League. It’s a learning curve for us and these are the first Games we are having under the new dawn. So we are learning and there are things we are perfecting in order for our athletes to give their all and win medals for the country,” Chileshe said.
