VICE-PRESIDENT WK Mutale-Nalumango has called for use of solar technology in preserving food in communities.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango said food should not go to waste but be preserved through use of technologies such as solar.
She was speaking in Lusaka yesterday when she visited Sylva Food Solutions, which is applying solar technology in the drying of traditional fruits and vegetables.
“Currently we have people going hungry while food goes to waste, this is unfortunate. So in order to attain food and nutrition, we must embrace use of technologies such as what we have witnessed here today,” Ms Mutale-Nalumango said.
