A CROSS section of the public have mourned and eulogised television (TV) personality and actor Nathan Mbawa.
Among the notables who eulogised Mbawa was musician B Flow.
“The entertainment industry has three funerals right now. That is Nathan Mbawa , Ba Dave (guitarist who played guitar in hit songs like Aitaya and Kaya . The other funeral is for JoeBoy,” B Flow posted on his official Facebook page.
Mbawa was put to rest on Tuesday this week at Kasisi Mission Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Joeboy of the haymaker Nima Vibrator also died on Tuesday this week.
Mbawa, died recently in a road traffic accident with his female colleague Rosemary Tonga near Six Miles roundabout in Lusaka.
The eulogies were from his fellow actors and ordinary Zambians.
Mbawa was first introduced to Muvi TV by his brother Cholwe ‘Boogie C’ Mbawa.
He presented many shows including the money giving game shows where he became known as Wamutsegede Salema.
Mbawa was signed under Nomesta and collaborated with late P Pay one of the best vocalists in Zambia.
He presented several game shows for Muvi TV and most recently Power TV.
Mbawa was credited with writing songs such as Bana Chimbusa and Koswe.
He performed the role of Kutani in some local sitcoms such as Flat Six on Muvi TV.
Mbawa died 11 days prior to him celebrating his birthday on February 7, 2023.
