ZAMBIA lacks international standards for phytosanitary measures needed to trade in plants and plant products, a Ministry of Agriculture official has said.
Plant quarantine and phytosanitary services director Kenneth Msiska said the current Plant Pests and Diseases Act does not speak to phytosanitary measures that are required in international trade such as inspection, recommendation and treatment among others
