THE Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has insisted that the property allegedly belonging to former first lady, Esther Lungu are reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime and must be forfeited to the State.
Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) Senior Investigation Officer, Emmanuel Khondowe, on behalf of the DPP, Gilbert Phiri, submitted to the court that the onus was, however, on Ms Lungu to demonstrate that the properties in question were not tainted and were built using legitimate sources
