ZAMBIA is this week expected to benefit from the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) €400 million agriculture financing scheme.
According to a statement posted on the European Union (EU) delegation to Zambia and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) official website, the country will be the first African nation to reap from EIB’s groundbreaking pan-African agricultural and agribusiness financing programme.
EIB Vice President Thomas Östros, who is in Zambia on a three-day business and agriculture investment visit, will formally sign the first financing programme.
